Young Leader Recognized for Commitment to Children with Cancer

This week Congressman Darrell Issa presented a Congressional Certificate of Recognition to Taylor Crabtree, Founder and President of TayBear-Teddy Bears for children with cancer.

"I welcome this opportunity to recognize and congratulate Taylor's tremendous accomplishments with her charity.  Her desire and commitment to making a difference in children's lives merits recognition and thanks," said Congressman Issa.

Taylor, a sixteen year old high school junior from Vista, founded her charity when she was only seven years old. She wanted to help kids with cancer by giving them a teddy bear to hug.  "One of the biggest motivations to keep this organization going is all of the letters I receive from the children," says Taylor.  To date, over 22,000 teddy bears have been donated to sick children all over the United States.

Taylor plans on studying business in college and hopes one day to expand her charity to help sick children all over the world.
